Supporting the Doctors of the World Greece

We are so proud to announce our new partnership with Doctors of the World / Médecins du Monde – Greece. As of 2019, we will be donating 1% of our online, direct booking revenue towards the work of this exemplary organisation.

Doctors of the World / Médecins du Monde – Greece, since the beginning of their operations, have been implementing several projects within Greece and abroad, in order to provide medical, as well as other services to marginalised populations that cannot otherwise access healthcare services and medical care.

Founded in 1990, Doctors of the World / Médecins du Monde – Greece is a medical humanitarian non-governmental organisation and is a member of Médecins Du Monde International which consists of 15 delegations (Argentina, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States of America).

Supporting Muscular Dystrophy UK

We started supporting Muscular Dystrophy UK last year, when as sponsors of their Microscope Ball event, helped the organisation raise thousands of pounds. We are incredibly thrilled and touched by the world-class work they are putting into tackling muscle-wasting conditions.

Muscular Dystrophy UK (previously known as the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign) is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to fight muscle-wasting conditions. Founded in 1959, they have been leading the fight against muscle-wasting conditions since then.

Muscular Dystrophy UK bring together more than 60 rare and very rare progressive muscle-weakening and wasting conditions, affecting around 70,000 children and adults in the UK.

They are currently:

  • Supporting high quality research to find effective treatments and cures and won’t stop until they have found them for all muscle-wasting conditions
  • Leading the drive to get faster access to emerging treatment for families in the UK
  • Ensuring everyone has the specialist NHS care and support they need – the right help at the right time, wherever they live.
  • Providing a range of services and resources to help people live as independently as possible.
