At Carpe Diem Santorini, our utmost priority is the safety and well-being of our guests and team members.

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have developed our safety policy based on the guidelines of the Greek government, the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Our COVID-19 Policy is accredited with the Health First certification which ensures that the hotel is implementing the national guidelines for COVID-19 prevention throughout its operation, as announced by the Greek government on 21 April 2021. 

The rigorous protocols combined with the property layout create an ideal setting for a safe and relaxing stay; each of our 10 suites is accessed separately through wide outdoor walkways and is equipped with its own private pool and terrace. Meanwhile, our common areas are airy, with plenty of outdoor space to dine at and relax. 

Update 13th August 2021: no walk-ins are allowed and guests may visit the property for accommodation and/or food and drink by making a reservation with us in advance. Suppliers, partners and others may only enter the property when it is absolutely necessary (such as in the case of maintenance work) by showing us a same-day negative rapid test, regardless of their vaccination status. Masks must be worn by everyone at all times (only seated guests are exempt from this rule).

Book your private transfer from/to the airport or port for safe transportation through our website ( Our team will give you the warmest welcome while ensuring that all safety measures are upkept. Kindly note that we request all our guests to undergo a contactless temperature check upon arrival at the hotel. For a contactless and hassle-free experience, you can complete your check-in online in advance, or by using your own device upon arrival at the hotel. Alternatively, check-in is completed with a tablet at the outdoor reception area.


Following rigorous cleaning and disinfection, your suite is ready to welcome you. You can now book services, place food orders, plan your activities, and talk to our team from the comfort of your suite with our brand new in-room tablets. For increased safety, certain mini bar items and room amenities are available only upon request. Daily room cleaning, turndown, and linen and towel replacement services are available upon request.


In line with current national guidelines, face masks are required in all common areas of the hotel, both indoor and outdoor. Our common areas are airy, allowing for fresh air to circulate indoors, combined with plenty of outdoor space. We have re-adjusted the common areas to comply with maximum capacity and physical distancing requirements. Soak up the sun by the pool on our sunbeds, which are cleaned and sanitized after each guest.


Reserve your table to dine at our outdoor area and indulge in our a la carte menus, available to view in digital form via QR codes. All tables are cleaned and disinfected after each guest, while the restaurant area is sanitized after each service. If you prefer to dine in your room, you can place your order through the tablet for a contactless room service experience.
